Lincoln Business Improvement Group (BIG) Valentines Themed Instagrammable Window Artwork

For this competition, I was asked to create Valentine's Day themed interactive window displays that the public could take Instagram photos with. These displays would be physically produced and then be placed in different areas around Lincoln City Centre. I won this competition with these designs and they will be produced in 2022.

THE UNHABITABLE EARTH COMPLETED INDESIGN
Penguin Student Design Awards 2021

I participated in this competition for the non-fiction category. This year's book was The Uninhabitable Earth by David Wallace-Wells. This book brutally warns of the climate destruction to come if the world does not take drastic direct action. For this design, I chose to focus on carbon emissions and the hold it has on the world since it is in part responsible for air pollution and global warming.

The Batsford Prize 2020-2021

This year's theme for this competition was 'Our Planet'. The theme was broad and meant I could branch into smaller themes including humanity, the climate crisis, and space. I chose to focus on the climate crisis and how deforestation and wildfires are a direct danger to trees and our health because it causes pollution. Therefore I illustrated a blazing tree in the shape of lungs. The trunk has small axe cuts to represent man made destruction.  The leaves wilting and falling from the branches represent the state of our health if we continue this way.
